New Eco Toilets and Cafe
for Ventnor Esplanade

Visitors to Ventnor this coming season, 2010, will be amongst the first to benefit from new eco-toilets and cafe which have been built adjacent to the popular 'island' paddling pool.

The whole area has been rebuilt and is at last finalised and open for business. The cafe occupies the eastern end of Cheetah Marine's new premises opposite the harbour.

The island paddling pool showing new 'Ocean View Quay' cafe and the roofs of new eco-toilets situated below the Winter Gardens, opposite the Haven.

The new eco-toilets utilise water from the adjacent Cascade and have turbines installed within the roof space to generate power. They are certainly very different and remind me of Fred Flintstone's house - the granite loos especially!

On a fine, sunny day, the newly built area offers a family-friendly area, adjacent to the harbour and beach, where parents can supervise their children having fun in the paddling pool whilst they enjoy refreshments from the nearby cafe.
