For further information about each pub, including opening hours, map references and suitability for children etc, simply click on the appropriate BLUE link below. But be warned! Many of the more popular establishments get very crowded at times - and not all take bookings.

The Bargeman's Rest at Newport  starstarstarstar
This is a super pub in Newport on the banks of the river. It's a great place to sit on a nice day. We like to sit on the terrace to watch the boats.

Inside ...

Flanagans, Pier St, Sandown  Not rated yet
Great atmosphere, awesome food, real ale, Sky Sports & ESPN on large screens, seaview, outside terrace,

The Hare and Hounds at Arreton  Not rated yet
It's nicely situated in the centre of the Island and was a favourite of ours when we lived on the Island for some years.
