Bembridge Windmill
Bembridge Windmill is just one of several properties on the Isle of Wight that are owned and protected by The National Trust.

The mill was presented to The National Trust in 1958 by Mrs E. Smith of Mill Farm, Bembridge.
Built around 1700, over 300 years ago, it stands proudly amidst beautiful countryside at the edge of the village. You will find it set back, half a mile south of the village, on the bend at the end of the High Street.

This four storey, stone built tower is the only surviving windmill on the island. It continued as a working mill right up to 1913, and as you explore the various floors, much of the original machinery can still be seen!

Opening Hours This year (2010), the mill will be open to the public each day from 13th March 2010 to 31st October 2010 between the hours of 11:00 and 5:00pm (last admission 4:30 pm).
The National Trust owns several other sites on the Isle of Wight. For details of these simply
